SRH has had its worst season in 2021. Finishing 8th place this year SRH will really be looking forward to the Mega Auction. SRH has retained Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, and Umran Malik. In this post, we’ll see who they would like to buy in the auction. Let’s start!
1) Devdutt Paddikal:
Devdutt Paddikal has been a superb batsman for RCB in these last two years. He has scored a few fifties and one hundred. I am actually surprised why RCB didn’t retain him. Anyways, he will be one of the most wanted batsmen. And I am sure SRH will target him in the auction. And he can great opener for them also.
2) Suresh Raina:
Suresh Raina who was previously with CSK was released by the franchise. This was not a surprise at all. Suresh Raina has been in such bad form throughout the IPL and he even dropped for the final against KKR earlier this year. I think he’ll be a great addition to the SRH batting lineup and he can support Williamson as the Vice-Captain (if he gets bought by SRH) and suggest a few tips he has learned from Dhoni over the years.
3) Trent Boult:
SRH would like to buy Trent Boult also because of the pace and swing he produces which can trouble the batsman a lot during the power play. And his death bowling towards the end can also be pretty lethal. He will also be targetted in the auction, for sure.
4) Rahul Chahar:
Rahul Chahar has been a really good bowler for MI. His spin was magical for them at times and was almost impossible to face sometimes. He could be a great replacement for Rashid Khan.
5) Deepak Chahar:
Deepak Chahar was one of CSK’s star bowlers from 2018-2021. He got released by the franchise on 30th November 2021. He could be a great replacement for Bhuvneshwar Kumar considering that his swing bowling is just exceptional. He would be a great addition to the Hyderabad-based franchise.
