In Today’s post, I will be writing about four players Kolkata Knight Riders Can Buy in the Mega Auction, which is set to be held in Bangalore from February 12th to February 13th. So in this post, we will be talking about four players KKR can buy.
1. Shreyas Iyer:
There are rumours that Shreyas Iyer is most likely going to play for KKR this year. Everyone is saying that KKR is going to buy him in the auction, which is a wise step because KKR needs a captain who they can rely on in pressure situations. The one thing Morgan or DK haven’t been able to do for the past 2-3 years, especially while batting. Both of them haven’t been able to find form and score runs in pressure situations. So if they buy Shreyas Iyer he can definitely help them win matches in pressure situations.
2. Quinton De Kock:
Quinton De Kock who was released last year by Mumbai Indians will definitely be targeted by a few teams. His batting performances and his superb keeping skills for MI in the last 3 years has been spectacular. Now with Dinesh Kartik gone KKR have no wicketkeeper in their team now. So they can capitalise on opportunity and buy De Kock in the auction. And he can be Venkatesh Iyer’s opening partner also. So Quinton De Kock will be a great addition to KKR.
3. Trent Boult:
Trent Boult was released by MI last year. And now he will definitely be on the radar of many teams. What makes Trent Boult so special is that he can produce pace and swing together. And his pace is not 120-125 KMPH while swinging the ball his pace is 145+ KMPH. He gets most of the wickets in the powerplay only and then when things are looking good for the opposite team batsman he strikes in the death overs and destroys their batting. This is what is special about Trent Boult. So of course he will be on the radar of many teams. And KKR should target him if they want a good bowling attack this year. He can help them get the perfect start to the innings.
4. Sam Curran:
Sam Curran could be a great addition to KKR. He can bowl good both in the powerplay and in the death overs. He can bat really good when needed. He will step up at the right moment when the team is losing wickets quickly. He can be of great help to Andre Russell by accelerating when Russell is not in form. If KKR buys him they won’t regret it.
