Hey Guys, welcome back to SlogVlog! Let’s get on with the post! Today is one of India’s most successful and experienced Test batsmen. His name is, of course, Cheteshwar Pujara and today, as it is his Birthday, we’ll be looking at 3 of his best innings in Test cricket.

1. 206 VS England, Ahmedabad, 2012:
To start with the post, we will look at Pujara’s career-best innings, which came against England in Ahmedabad in 2012. India, captained at the time by the great MS. Dhoni, won the toss and chose to bat first. Virendra Sehwag started the innings with a magnificent 117. Then at NO. 3 came the birthday boy Cheteshwar Pujara. He then wore out the English attack and scored a superb 206 of 389 bowls. He powered India to an enormous total of 521 for 8, and then Dhoni declared. Then India bowled out England twice the first time for 191, and then he made England bat again and got them bowled out for 406. Then India had an easy target of 77 runs, and in the second innings, Cheteshwar Pujara stood tall with 41 runs helping India easily win the match by 9 wickets. He was awarded the Man Of The Match Award in that match.

2. 204 VS Australia, Hyderabad, 2013:
This time India lost the toss and they were forced to bowl first. Australia in their first innings could only score 237-9 even though their skipper at that time Michael Clarke scored a superb 91. India then came to bat and of course, they ran through the Aussies bowling, Of course, one man-made they soar over the Australian bowling line up and that one man is of course Cheteshwar Pujara. He single-handedly wore the Aussie bowling lineup with a brilliant 204 of 341 bowls. Well not only him but even Murli Vijay scored a fantastic 167, but still. Pujara was appointed the Man Of The Match Award.

3. 123 VS Australia, Adelaide, 2018:
India which came to Australia in 2018 wanted to create history. But that didn’t seem possible because of the awful start they got in the first test. India was batting first and their Top batsman Murli Vijay, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma were all out before the first 90 runs of their innings. Only Pujara had good partnerships with the likes of Ashwin and a young Rishabh Pant who was trying to confirm his place in the Indian team. Cheteshwar Pujara helped India set a good score of 250. In this innings, he scored a fantastic 123 to help India stay in the game. The Aussies batting lineup couldn’t handle the heat of the Indian bowling lineup, but they managed to score 235 giving India a slender lead of 15 runs. Pujara then with another amazing inning of 73 helped India reach 307. The Aussies needed 323 runs to win the first Test, but they got all out for 291, therefore making India win by 31 runs. And Of Course, Cheteshwar Pujara was awarded the Man of The Match Award for his brilliant batting.
Thank You Cheteshwar Pujara for all those memorable innings you have played for Indian Cricket. Happy Birthday and we all hope that you have a great year ahead and soon get into form again. Happy Birthday!
