Happy Birthday to the upcoming superstar of Indian cricket. So as the heading says in today’s post, we will be talking about the Top 4 Innings Ruturaj Gaikwad Innings in the IPL.
1. 101 VS RR (IPL 2021):
Ruturaj Gaikwad had already sealed his place in the CSK squad by this time. His excellent form started in late 2020 against RCB, and he carried the excellent work through the year, even in the domestic circuit for Maharashtra and in the IPL 2021 for CSK. He won the orange cap for CSK for the first time in 11 years. The last CSK batsman to win the orange hat was Mathew Hayden in 2010 when CSK won their 1st IPL title.
CSK lost this match and broke their winning streak. RR quickly chased the target of 190. Ruturaj Gaikwad was at his best in this match, and he played only 14 dot balls and hit nine fours and five sixes in these fantastic innings. He got a lot of appreciation for his commendable performance.
2. 88* VS MI (IPL 2021)
This match was a blockbuster for sure. Like in the 2020 IPL, CSK were struggling at 24-4, but Ruturaj Gaikwad took the situation in his hand and said I wouldn’t let MI win this match and bashed them black and blue single-handedly took them to a good score of 156. He hit nine fours four sixes in the fantastic innings. He had good partnerships with Jadeja and DJ Bravo. Ruturaj Gaikwad was praised a lot for this match-winning innings for CSK.
3. 72 VS KKR (IPL 2020)
Ruturaj Gaikwad had just gotten into form. He hit 65 VS RCB in the previous match and saved himself from being dropped from the team. He started the innings smoothly and helped CSK get past 120 with ease and only two wickets gone. He crossed past 50 with ease and led CSK near to victory, but unfortunately, he got out when he tried paddle scoop.
65* VS RCB (IPL 2020)
I think everyone knew that if Ruturaj Gaikwad flopped in this match, he would probably be dropped from the squad by the next match. He was on the verge of being dropped, but he saved himself by hitting a match-winning inning of 65* against RCB in the IPL 2020. CSK won their last three matches, with Gaikwad scoring three fifties and getting the MOM award each time. CSK may have been eliminated from the tournament for the first time, but they saw the rise of a new star in the form of Ruturaj Gaikwad.
