Oh, wait I didn’t wish him even though I know he won’t see my blog. But if he does I will be delighted. Happy Birthday ABD aka MR. 360. Now, let’s start with the post.
1. 149 VS WI (ODI)
Even if we forget AB De Villiers name, we can never forget this inning of his. This was the fastest 100 made by a batsman in cricket history. He scored his 100 of just 31 balls. Usually, a player would take those many bowls to make 35 runs in ODI, but we are talking about the superman of South African cricket; we are talking about MR. 360. What else can you expect from a legend? One hundred runs of just 31 balls sound impossible, but this player made it possible. Mr. 360 led the batting unit and made an impossible chase for the Windies with this brilliant achievement. West Indies had to score 440 to win the match, but they didn’t even come close to winning the game because they could only score 291-7 in their 50 overs.
2. 217* VS IND (Test)
B de Villiers’ brilliant 217* off 333 deliveries allowed South Africa to run over India by an innings and 90 runs at Ahmedabad. India batted first and got all out for only 76 runs. South Africa then ran over India by scoring a humongous total of 494-7. In their second innings, India was bowled out for a total of 328.
3. 162* VS WI (ODI)
During a league stage match in the 2015 ICC CWC, the West Indies bowlers were left clueless because Mr. 360 gave them a 360-degree thrashing by scoring a superb 162 of just 66 bowls. This massive inning of his led South Africa to a massive total of 408-5. He smashed 17 fours and 8 sixes in this inning. The West Indies couldn’t do much because they got all out for only 151 and thus making South Africa the winners by 257 runs.
4. 71 VS ENG (T20)
Mr. 360 showed England who is the boss in 2016 when he smashed 71 of just 29 balls. England batted first and scored a good total of 171 but who said that is good enough for Mr. 360? He smashed and thrashed the bowlers with six fours and six sixers. With the help of Mr. 360, South Africa chased the total in just 14.1 overs. And Of course, ABD was awarded the MOM award.
