As we all know, April 30th is Rohit Sharma’s birthday, and today is April 30th! So, today my post will be on five memorable Rohit Sharma innings for MI which helped them cross the line and win the match. And sorry for not posting for so long, but I am currently on vacation with my cousins, and I don’t get much time to myself. So, sorry about that. Now let’s stop the sorry’s and get on with the post.

And we won’t be talking about his innings for the Deccan Chargers because most of his brilliant innings have come for MI. He has had many good memories with MI because I just realised that I forgot the Deccan Chargers existed. I am already midway through the post, so I am writing this. Wait, let me change the heading of the base real quick. The title says clearly 5 Memorable Rohit Sharma Innings For Mumbai Indians. Anyways. Now, that looks good, doesn’t it?. I am going to continue with the post. Now, that looks good.

1. Rohit Sharma’s 109 VS KKR- 2012 DLF IPL:

Rohit Sharma loves playing against KKR, especially in the Eden Gardens. He has scored 1015+ runs vs KKR in IPL and that remains the most runs by an individual vs KKR to date. Rohit Sharma’s first hundred came against KKR in 2012, he scored a brilliant score of 109 against them in match 58 of the 2012 IPL. In this inning, he hit 12 fours and 5 sixes. And Rohit Sharma scored more than half of their total as their total was 180. Rohit Sharma was of course awarded Man Of The Match for this brilliant inning of 109. MI won that match by 27 runs.

2. Rohit Sharma’s 98 VS KKR- 2015 Pepsi IPL:

And of course, KKR comes on the list again. As I told above Rohit Sharma loves playing against KKR. And here KKR comes for the 2nd time in a row in his Top 5 innings. So, this brilliant inning of 98 was played in the 2015 IPL. And also in this match, he crossed the 3000 run mark. Rohit’s knock was studded with 12 fours and 4 sixes. Unfortunately, MI lost that game and KKR won by 7 wickets.

3. Rohit Sharma’s 80 VS KKR- 2020 Dream 11 IPL:

Don’t you think if a team has come on the list twice already and that continuously then that same team has to come for the third time? Well, I think so and also Rohit Sharma thinks so because he scored this brilliant 80 against KKR in the 2020 Dream 11 IPL. Rohit Sharma smashed the KKR bowlers black and blue and almost stayed until the end, but unfortunately got out in the 18th over. In this magnificent inning, he also had a superb 90 run partnership with his trusted batsman Suryakumar Yadav. Rohit’s excellent 80 run inning included 3 fours and 6 sixes. And yes, he was named as MOM.

Now I feel like saying some quote or dialogue sought of thing, so I am going to take a page out of the Kannada actor Yash or also known as Rocky bhai’s book and say a famous dialogue from the blockbuster movie KGF Chapter 2.

4. Rohit Sharma’s 94 VS RCB- 2018 VIVO IPL:

The 14th match of the 2018 edition of IPL saw one of the best knocks Rohit Sharma. Rohit Sharma came in at NO. 4 to bat and MI had a really bad start because Umesh Yadav got Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan out in the first 2 balls of the match. And then Rohit Sharma took control and smashed the bowlers black and blue and the ball went like bam boom, zoom zam all over the ground. This match-winning inning led MI to a mammoth total of 213 including 10 fours and 5 sixes. And he was also named as Man Of The Match.

5. Rohit Sharma’s 50 VS CSK- 2015 IPL

Rohit Sharma’s fine inning of 50 of 26 deliveries and Lendl Simmons’s superb 65 helped MI reach a mammoth total of 202 in the final of the 2015 IPL vs CSK. MI of course ended up winning that match as we know and lifted their 2nd IPL trophy. This fine inning included 6 fours and 2 sixes. Rohit Sharma was also named Man Of The Match for his fine inning of 50.
