Hey Guys, welcome back to my blog SlogVlog! In today’s post, we will be doing a preview of the upcoming RCB VS CSK match on May 4th 2022. And OMG DHONI IS BACK AS CAPTAIN!!!!! I am sure no one expected that!!!! I was so happy after hearing the news. And he has already won a match and he has given CSK hope. And sorry for not posting previews. I couldn’t do it because I am currently on vacation and I barely have time for myself. I’ll start posting regularly from may end. Anyways, enough of the chit chat and let’s get on with the post. And we will start by doing a small review of both the team’s previous matches. And we will only look at the best performances.

We replaced Lomror with Prabhudesai considering the fact that RCB’s batting needs some acceleration in the middle overs and death overs. And as we all saw in RCB’s first match against CSK, Prabhudesai played a fine cameo alongside DK and scored 34 of 18 and gave some hope to RCB fans, but unfortunately, he got out then DK got out and all hopes are gone and CSK went on to win that match.

I replaced Simarjeet Singh even though he is currently the best fielder in CSK, because other people are always dropping catches. Okay, jokes apart I replaced Simrajeet Singh because if Shivam Dube isn’t injured there is no point in him staying out of the 11 and also he has to come back because as we saw he scored a magnificent 95 against RCB earlier this season. I think that they may drop Pretorius because he gave many runs last match, but I am not sure if they will drop him. But I think if they drop Pretorius then they may get the newcomer Matheesha Pathirana because of his pace.
Weather Report-
According to weather reports, there won’t be any rain or drizzling or bad weather in Pune on Wednesday. So, all is clear and the match is expected to not have any interruptions.
Pitch Report-
The teams batting first have won a total of 7 matches until now in the MCA. And as we saw in the last match played in the MCA the team batting first won. And also there wasn’t much dew towards the second innings, so I guess the team which wins the toss can elect to bat first. The average 1st innings in this stadium is 153, but this year we have witnessed 170+ scores on a few occasions. So according to me, the average 1st innings total would be somewhere between 175-190, but a 200+ score would be excellent because if teams are struggling to get 170 to 180 then 200 is almost impossible.

Rivalry To Watch Out:
There are two rivalries to watch out for.
FAF VS CSK-
Seeing Faf going against the yellow brigade was a very emotional moment. As he mentioned last time, playing against CSK was like playing against his brothers, so I can’t call it exactly like those fiery and fierce rivalries, but this for sure is a rivalry in its own way.
DHONI VS KOHLI:
Whether they are captains of the team or not, seeing Dhoni going against Kohli has always been an epic moment. It’s COOL VS HOT, FRIEND VS FRIEND, ICON VS ICON, how can anyone not call this a rivalry?
Prediction-
We are picking CSK to win this match, mainly because the main players are in form, like Ruturaj or Devon Conway and their bowling is also improving. Only their fielding has to improve. And one more reason I am picking CSK is that they have to win all their matches to have a chance to qualify for the playoffs. And also because RCB has lost their last 3 matches. And now I am sure many people feel that since Dhoni has come back he will know what to do and help CSK win the rest of their matches, and I am one of them, but I feel this match will be a difficult one as both teams need a win. RCB to boost their confidence a bit and CSK to keep their playoff hopes alive. Good Luck to both teams.
