Hey guys, welcome back to my blog, SlogVlog! So… THE IPL IS FINALLY BACK! March 31st kicks things off with a blockbuster clash between the defending champions Gujarat Titans and the four-time champions, the lions of Chennai—“Thala Dhoni’s” army, Chennai Super Kings. This is going to be one hell of a match, no doubt about that.
Gujarat Titans will be playing at their home ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium, for just the second time in IPL history (the first being the 2022 final, which they won). And interestingly, this will also be the first time MS Dhoni and CSK step onto this ground. In fact, it’s Dhoni’s first time playing here as well. With a massive capacity of around 132,000, just imagine the noise when Dhoni walks out—pure goosebumps.

Batsman VS Bowler Rivalry To Watch:

Rashid Khan is one of the few bowlers to make MSD struggle while batting. In the 21 bowls Dhoni has faced against him, Dhoni hit only 14 runs with a strike rate of 66.67. Dhoni has only hit two boundaries against Rashid Khan just now.
Weather Report:
According to the weather report, the weather in Ahmedabad will be clear. So, no rain is detected, and the match won’t have any interruptions due to the weather.
Pitch Report:
Even though this pitch gives the bowlers pace and bounce, it is a batting pitch. The Narendra Modi Stadium’s rise mostly stays the same between the first and second inning, and spinners will find it hard here. And there won’t be much dew for this match, so the team that wins the toss should elect to bat first. The average first-inning total in a T20 game on this pitch is 161, which is pretty decent, but if a team crosse 180-190, it will be tough for the opposition, who is batting second, to chase the target.
Prediction:
We’re backing GT to win this match, mainly because of the home advantage. They’ve been practicing at this ground and are more familiar with the conditions. CSK, on the other hand, haven’t had much time here and haven’t played a match at this venue before, which could make a difference. That said, it should still be a great contest—may the best team win!
