Well, Hello, and Welcome back to SlogVlog! It’s been an incredible two months for Indian Cricket, let’s briefly review it!
T20 WC & India Tour Of Zimbabwe:
After ending an 11-year ICC trophy drought and winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup for the first time in 17 years, which marked the end of Rohit Sharma’s and Virat Kohli’s T20 careers and concluded Rahul Dravid’s 2.5-year coaching stint, a new, young Team India emerged. Coached by NCA head VVS Laxman and led by Shubman Gill, this rejuvenated squad secured a series victory against Zimbabwe, signaling a bright future ahead.
India Tour Of Sri Lanka:
Now, for the Sri Lanka series now happening, the team is being led by their new captain Suryakumar Yadav, and coached by the new head coach, Gautam Gambhir. It’s been solid start for Gautam Gambhir as head coach, as Team India has just clinched the T20 series against Sri Lanka.
The ODI series against Sri Lanka is set to start on August 2nd. Will Team India clinch that series as well and give Gautam Gambhir the perfect start as head coach? Well, we’ll find that out after a week and a half when the series ends.
Conclusion:
The months of June and July have been incredibly successful for Indian cricket and, of course, for Indian cricket fans, with Team India not losing a single game in the group stages and going on to win the T20 World Cup, and now winning two consecutive series with a new, young, and a rejuvenated team. Let’s see how the month of August holds up for them.
Until Next Time,
Thank you.
