Weather and Pitch Conditions:

It’s quite humid in Bengaluru today, with the temperature around 28°C and humidity at 31%. Dew isn’t expected to play a big role. With no cricket having been played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium for the past 9–10 months after the events last June, the pitch remains a bit of a mystery. However, the stadium looks fresh and ready for the IPL this season. It’ll be interesting to see what the captains decide to do at the toss.

Prediction:

This is going to be an interesting opening match, but we’re backing the defending champions to get over the line and grab the first two points. RCB have retained most of their core ahead of the 2026 auction, which gives them good stability, while SRH also had a pretty solid auction and look like a strong side. With not much dew expected and no cricket played here for nearly 10 months, expecting a 300+ score might be unrealistic. However, the last time these two teams met at this venue, we witnessed one of the greatest IPL games ever—SRH posted a record 287, and Dinesh Karthik almost pulled off a miracle for RCB, falling short by just 25 runs. So, a high-scoring game is still very much on the cards. Who do you think will win?

Until Next Time!

Thank you.
