1. Because KKR was one of his former team he played there for 6 seasons so he has the experience of playing against KKR bowlers.
2. And the second reason is CSK opener Ruthuraj Gaikwad is not in form.

So if the pitch is like the pitch we saw in the CSK VS RR match then the best choice is to bat first, then you won’t have a lot of dew in the second innings so it will be difficult for the team batting in the second innings to score many runs.
