Pitch and Weather Conditions:
Bristol has hosted only one match in the tournament so far, where Sri Lanka were bowled out for 98 against West Indies on Sunday. West Indies fielded four spinners, who combined to take seven wickets. Spin could once again play a significant role on Tuesday. It’s expected to be sunny, with temperatures reaching 33 degrees Celsius during the day.

Prediction:
We’re backing the Women in Blue and Yellow, Sri Lanka, to take the win this afternoon in Bristol. The stakes couldn’t be much higher for the Lankans. Their campaign is hanging by a thread, and they need a convincing victory to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stages alive.
Ireland, meanwhile, have already been eliminated from the tournament. That doesn’t mean they’ll be lacking motivation, though. They’ll be desperate to secure their first-ever Women’s T20 World Cup victory and finish their campaign on a positive note. With no pressure of qualification hanging over them, they could prove to be a dangerous opponent.
That said, Sri Lanka have a few factors working in their favour. They are the more experienced side, boast a strong head-to-head record against Ireland, and know they have far more at stake. They also have recent experience at this venue, having played the West Indies here just a couple of days ago. While that doesn’t guarantee success, having a better understanding of the conditions can provide a small advantage, especially in a World Cup match in England where conditions can change quickly.
For those reasons, we’re backing Sri Lanka to come out on top and keep their tournament hopes alive.
